Center Line Public Schools has much to offer its teaching and professional staff. The district is small enough (approximately 2,900 students) for a teacher to be more than a "number" or face in the crowd. This affords our staff opportunities for career advancement and personal and professional recognition. We have one high school (9-12), one middle school (6-8), three elementary buildings (K-5) and an early childhood center (preschool). Our elementaries provide school-aged childcare (SACC) services and our early childhood center provides daycare services, as well.
Location: CLPS is located in the center of the Greater Warren Area (Macomb County), just minutes away from I-696, I-75, and I-94. Van Dyke (M-53) is the main thoroughfare running north and south through the district.
Pay and Benefits: The pay scale of CLPS is one of the top in the county and state. Credit is given for teaching experience outside of the district. Pay increases are rewarded at BA+20, MA, MA+20, and Post Master's levels. Our benefit package is hard to beat.
Professional Development: Our staff is provided many enriching seminars, inservices and training opportunities on site, via the ISD or off site. We prioritize for our probationary employees to help each achieve the 15 day state professional development requirement.
Pride: Our district has been distinguished by the State of Michigan with the granting of Blue Ribbon Exemplary School status to BOTH our middle school and high school.
Support and Satisfaction: Teachers and professional staff are supported by caring administrators, K-12 counseling and at-risk intervention specialists, learning consultants and the paraprofessionals and building aides at all levels. A comprehensive technology plan has provided the tools to keep teachers effective and efficient. How can anyone NOT be satisfied?
