The Board of Education will collaborate with the Superintendent and the district administrative staff to support the development of a research-based instructional program that will increase student performance in reading and mathematics so that all students will reach a proficient level, and attain adequate yearly progress (one year of academic growth) by at least 5% as measured by state and national standards set by the ESEA (No Child Left Behind) of 2001.
