Bond Technology Updates

On February 22, 2021, the Center Line Board of Education approved the Structured Cabling Systems (CAT 6) bid from Trendset Communications for $43,460.27, the Network Infrastructure System (Ruckus APs) bid from Vector Tech Group for $52,852.30, and the Network Electronics (UPS Units) – USF/E-Rate bid from JEM Tech Group for $32,518.00.

On March 11, 2019, the Center Line Board of Education approved the Category 2 bid proposal(s) from the vendor list provided for Network Electronics and Self-Provisioned Cabling.

On March 25, 2019, the Center Line Board of Education approved the Classroom Audio/Visual Systems bid from VSC, Inc.

  • Bond Technology -- Classroom Technology
    • (1) Secondary Wireless Access Points -- Ruckus 802.11ac Wave 2 -- More Coverage, Better Range, Density & Throughput.  Prepares the district infrastructure for more mobile devices in the classrooms.  Installed in July and August 2018.

    • (2) District Demos of Interactive Equipment -- in preparation for a fall RFP, Center Line has now participated in demonstrations of 5 brands of 75" to 86" interactive solutions for classrooms, including Boxlight/Mimio, Epson, SMART, QOMO, and Viewsonic.  We expect a "spec" bid to go live in late fall with a target implementation for 2nd semester (late January 2019). Started in January 2018.  Finishing in October 2018

  • Bond Technology -- Security Updates
    • (3) New District Firewall and Content Filter --  More efficient handling of Internet traffic (better performance) and enhanced student content filtering and threat detection (denial of service attacks, etc).  Installed in August.
