Letter summarizing 1/10l18 lockdown

January 10, 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Around 8:15am today, the Center Line Department of Public Safety alerted us that there was a police matter in the area of Dale/Sylvan. The situation was quickly contained by the Center Line Public Safety Department. However, out of an abundance of caution, we immediately put four buildings on a precautionary lockdown: Center Line High School, Wolfe Middle School, the administration building/Academy 21, and Peck Elementary.

At no time was there any direct threat to our students. Center Line Public Safety was exceptional and kept us updated throughout the situation. At approximately 9:10am, we were informed the situation had been peacefully resolved and that all was clear, so we lifted the lockdown.

The safety of our students is always our primary concern. If you have any questions, please contact me directly at (586) 510-2003 or please call the front desk at (586) 510-2000. Thank you for your attention to this matter and your continued support of Center Line Public Schools.

Andrew McKinnon
Assistant Superintendent
