Wise Words from the Class of 2024

"For those of you that don’t know, I attend a STEM program for half of my day each school day. My class at this program is made up of students from twelve other high schools. What I hear from my classmates is that due to the larger sizes of their schools, there is a good amount of people that they don’t know in their graduating classes. At first, this came as a shock to me because looking at all of you now, I know so many of you, and I think we all have this in common. Because we attend a small school, we are able to make every sport, club, and even just our class feel like a family. We go to a school where seniors know freshmen, where our principal is able to name most people on the spot, and where we know almost everyone in our graduating class. This isn’t very common, and I’m very thankful to be a part of this family environment."

                                           2024 Valedictorian, Ms. Jaiden Fizia

"Through Center Line’s amazing career programs and opportunities, we were able to foreshadow our future. Now let's take advantage of that insight and make a difference in the world. For I am sitting amongst doctors, business owners, lawyers, psychologists, artists, air force personnel, music therapists, millionaires, I'm sorry, billionaires. For that is only a glimpse into our future. Today marks the day where we make the impossible, possible. For you are going to use our lifestyle of perseverance and make it happen. Throughout my life, I have been challenged with not being able to see past 5 feet tall. The cloud of mental health shadowed my perspective. It was not until I entered a life alternating place called Center Line High School, where I met amazing people who lifted me up to see the light shining down. Stand tall, even if you feel like you are alone. For your travel down the unbeaten path will make every difference in the world around you in this concept called perseverance."
