We are into year 2 of the Academies of Center Line High School, backed by Ford Next Generation Learning. Teachers spent hours this summer working with trainers to ensure that our Academies of CLHS move forward. As one of our students said to our superintendent last year, "This is the way high school should have always been run." The instructional integration as well as the critical relationships with business partners have provided real world learning opportunities for our students.
Our superintendent continues to present information on our academy model to various conferences throughout Michigan as Center Line leads the way in innovative and relevant instruction.
We held 5 town halls to solicit feedback after our May bond initiative failed by 82 votes, and we have a revised bond proposal up for the November 2017 election.
We earned district-wide AdvancEd certification this past spring with an Index of Education Quality (IEQ), out of 400, the district received a score of 329.88, which is above the AdvancED Network average of 278.94.
Center Line High School earned the Bronze Award for the second year in a row in Best High Schools in U.S. News & World Report! Center Line High School was one of only 5 Macomb County high schools to make the list
We unveiled our new website that is up-to-date, ADA-compliant, and user-friendly this past May.
CLPS continues its much-needed Blessings in a Backpack program that helps feed approximate 200 children each week. We started fund raising in 2010, and it 2 years to get enough funding to start the program.
We are bringing back lifeguard certification classes this year and hope to open the pool to senior/community swim in the spring.
Center Line Schools is the authorizer for Rising Stars Academy, an incredible farm-to-plate culinary arts school for students ages 18-26 with special needs.
Our Homeschool Partnership has grown by leaps and bounds.
