Registration Home - New Students

If your child attended Center Line Public Schools last year, you do not need to re-register.  You do need to update your forms and information each year in PowerSchool's Parent Portal.  Visit Returning Student Forms for more information.   If your child did not attend Center Line Public Schools last year, please follow these steps:

Step 1:  Am I a district resident?

If you aren't sure which school district you live in, visit Macomb County District Lookup. Enter your address in the top search bar!

Non-Residents: We can only enroll non-residents during the approved School of Choice window.  This year, the window is from March 16 through August 24, 2026. Please visit School of Choice Information.

Residents:  Go to step 2.

Step 2:

Visit PowerSchool Enrollment Express to complete the pre-enrollment form for each student.  You will receive a confirmation email from PowerSchool that your form is being reviewed.

Step 3:

Create a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account. After approval, you'll receive an email confirming eligibility and student account information required for PS Parent Portal account access.

If you already have a PS Parent Portal account with CLPS:  Log in to the Parent Portal, go to “Account Preferences,” click the “Students” tab, click “Add,” and enter your student’s Name, Access ID, and Access Password.

Step 4:

Complete New Enrollment Forms. Complete all required forms (A-J), even if your child was previously enrolled in CLPS.

Step 5:

Schedule Appointment. On Form J, choose an appointment date and time to bring required documents (see Step 6). Early Childhood Center (ECC)/preschool appointments will be at the ECC/Kaltz Center, not the Administration Building.

Step 6:

Attend Enrollment Appointment. Bring the following documents with you to the Administration Building:

  1. Student’s Birth Certificate
  2. Immunization Record
  3. Mortgage/Complete Lease Agreement (all pages)***
  4. Current utility bill (with parent’s name/address)
  5. Photo ID
  6. Most Recent Report Card (grades K-8)/Transcript (grades 9-12)
  7. Copy of current IEP (if applicable)
  8. Legal/Custody Documents (if applicable)
  9. Medical Records (if applicable)
  10. Hearing & Vision Test (kindergarten only)
  11. Health Appraisal (kindergarten only)
  12. Oral Health Appraisal (kindergarten only, within 6 months of school start)

***If the parent/guardian is not listed on the mortgage or lease, the homeowner/lessee must also attend the appointment with (1) their own mortgage/lease agreement, (2) a current utility bill, and (3) photo ID to complete the Residency Affidavit for enrollment.
